Composing songs mostly of an Indie/Folk/Bluegrass nature, Tayler refers to themself as a truth-teller: "I want my music to tell the honest stories of people's day-to-day life. I want to make songs about about my granny and aunties, the smell of cornbread and collard greens driftin through the house, wise conversation had with daddy on the back porch durin hot summer days."
Tayler has performed in the Pop/Rock, Blues, and Folk ensembles at Columbia College Chicago, as well as several performances at Salon Schräg in Vienna, Austria. In June of 2014, Tayler performed at the annual Chicago Blues Festival.
